Jacobs has recently been selected to take part in Homes England’s latest Development and Regeneration Technical Services (DaRTS) Framework. The Homes England framework aims to assist the government’s efforts to accelerate housing development

Under the Homes England framework, Jacobs will offer multidisciplinary built environment services, professional expertise, and technical support to Homes England. They will work with other public sector bodies on the project until 2027.

Homes England is an executive non-departmental public body sponsored by the government’s Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. They are responsible for improving housing delivery in England.

About the Homes England framework

The framework is the most extensive to date from Homes England. It uses a novel two-part structure. This structure can help direct engagement with suppliers who have expertise in place-making, ensuring their involvement in the framework.

The DaRTS Framework will run from 2023–2027 and has been introduced to replace the Multidisciplinary Framework 2019-2023 for accessing technical and professional services.

Jacobs’ planning, design, and project implementation will be centred around inclusive and sustainable neighbourhoods, ensuring long-term positive social effects across urban renewal projects and greenfield developments. Balfour Beatty recently selected Jacobs as their strategic construction design partner. Showing their commitment to improving sustainability and social values in the housing sector.

“To achieve sustainable housing growth and thriving communities, we must respond in ways that prioritise thoughtful legacy outcomes, create social value and address decarbonisation needs. By harnessing our data, technology, and social value experience, we will continue supporting Homes England in shaping the future of vital housing,” said senior vice president of Jacobs,  Kate Kenny.
