Morgan Sindall Construction’s Eastern Counties business has been appointed to Norfolk County Council’s (NCC) Major Construction Works Framework
The Major Construction Works Framework will run for three years from 1 April 2024 and will help meet ongoing requirements for construction work.
Morgan Sindall has been appointed to Lot 2 of the three lots. Works will have a value of more than £4.5m, and the total value of all projects in this lot over the term is estimated at £300m. Projects will include a mix of refurbishments, remodeling, and new building.
Morgan Sindall is currently working on multiple projects across the region including collaborating with Norfolk County Council on the comprehensive restoration of Norwich Castle and a £17 million regeneration at Great Yarmouth’s Market Place.
It is also delivering a new £25 million state-of-the-art Community Diagnostic Centre with the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH).
Generating social value for the local area
Morgan Sindall’s Eastern Counties area director, Alister Broadberry, said: “We have worked alongside Norfolk County Council for a number of years on a variety of projects, and to be selected on this framework represents a fantastic opportunity to continue our strong, collaborative relationship.
“Supporting the council with its construction and regeneration requirements has been especially rewarding, as I know that we share many key values when it comes to creating high-quality, sustainable facilities that generate social value for the local area.
“This is a core aspect of our previous and ongoing projects and we’re delighted to be further assisting the council, its constituents, communities and the wider local economy moving forward.”
Warren Salmons, Morgan Sindall’s Eastern Counties framework manager, said: “Our appointment to Norfolk County Council’s (NCC) Major Construction Works Framework is testament to the hard work carried out by the entire team.
“Going onto the new framework, we look forward to collaborating with the integrated property solutions consultants Norse Consulting and working alongside the council to ensure that they can best fulfil their built environment goals.”
