Located in the Welsh countryside of Rhos-Fawr, a family built their own Victorian-style farmhouse and wanted sash windows to complete the traditional look.
Because of the exposed location, the homeowners wanted Victorian-style windows over two meters tall, a genuine traditional appearance, and effective weatherproofing.
White woodgrain Ultimate Rose windows were ideal for the project, with the conservation-grade timber-alternative option allowing for the large sizes (1500 x 2350mm) that this home required while remaining indistinguishable from timber originals. In addition, the Ultimate Rose is Secured by Design accredited, providing total peace of mind.
A single astragal bar configuration and a deep bottom rail were chosen to keep with the Victorian style. Ultimate Rose also includes a standard 35mm slim and seamless mid rail, providing fully authentic sightlines and allowing the maximum amount of natural light into the home.

As a result, the home benefits from impressively large sash Victorian-style windows that beautifully match the traditional style of the building but are in a maintenance-free package that includes the thermal and security performance that comes with modern materials and manufacturing techniques.
