Manufacturers and suppliers of fire door hardware and components, Rutland Door Controls now have tested door components that have achieved Police Preferred Specification under Secured by Design
This coincides nicely with Rutland’s 20th anniversary, and from their beginning have helped the fire door industry with dependable and tested door controls.

Rutland webinars on ‘dual testing’
Rutland webinars have helped raise awareness of ‘dual testing’ of apartment entrance doorsets and in 2021 they delivered two webinars to the industry about dual testing and smoke control doorsets.
Neil Smith of Rutland said: “We have a lot of respect for Secured by Design not only for their effectiveness in designing out crime, but for the concept of dual testing of doorsets, and their focus on smoke control. This has been a key move forward for the industry as a whole.
