A £160m private and affordable residential scheme in Trafford has been given the go-ahead by Trafford Council

Delivered by Glenbrook Property, Lumina Village will be made up of 639 new private and affordable homes along with 5.4 acres of public realm.

The delivery of the residential scheme in Trafford will play a significant role in the wider redevelopment of Trafford’s Civic Quarter.

The Civic Quarter Area Action Plan, adopted in 2023, is looking to deliver 4,000 homes, 50,000 sqm of commercial space, public realm improvements, and new infrastructure.

At least 15% of the total number of dwellings will be delivered as affordable homes on-site.

Chris Roberts, chief development officer at Bruntwood, commented on the new residential scheme in Trafford: “The transformation at Lumina Village is at the heart of our commitment to long-term regeneration in Trafford, as part of our joint venture with Trafford Council.

“It’s exciting to achieve this important milestone, which will deliver a range of high-quality residential accommodation for the community. It brings us a step closer to realising our ambitious plans to create a vibrant and sustainable realm, where the local community can live, eat, shop and play.”
