London’s Hackney Council has selected Ardmore to deliver 371 mixed-tenure units across four buildings in the final phase of the £154m Britannia scheme
The design and build contract for the Britannia scheme will see four residential buildings of up to 25 storeys bring 371 units, including 81 affordable homes, to Hackney.
Located next to Shoreditch Park, there will be 290 private for sale homes amongst the flats. The 81 affordable homes will be available for social rent and shared ownership.

Ardmore has renegotiated a price of £154m with Hackney Council, after the residential contract was originally tendered at £120m last year.
Ardmore director James Byrne said: “Over the last few months, we’re already managed to build a strong working relationship with Hackney and their design team to help bring the buildings in line with the highest safety standards, without any compromise in quality.
“We are looking forward to working with Hackney Council and to build on our impressive track record of major residential and regeneration schemes in London.”
The contract win follows Ardmore’s delivery of the 1,000-unit multi-phase Parkside scheme in Lewisham and the 387- unit Phase 4a of Battersea Power Station.
Profits will help retroactively fund a local leisure centre and school
Morgan Sindall built the leisure centre and school under separate £54m and £44m contracts.
