Mace has been appointed to deliver pre-construction services for BREEAM office scheme, Lansdowne House
Lansdowne House, in Mayfair, London, will be redeveloped into a 10-storey, 225,000 sq ft workplace, with 14,000 sq ft of retail and restaurants.
The project has been designed by architects AHMM with a ‘long life and loose fit concept’.
It is targeting both BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum ratings to promote sustainability and enhance occupier wellbeing.
The building will be constructed using a ‘sway frame’ structure that can be adapted and re-used in the future to accommodate change without requiring whole demolition of the building.
The development will feature an outdoor rooftop terrace that incorporates greening and biodiversity, and balconies on every floor overlooking Berkeley Square.
In the basement will be 480 cycle spaces with showers, lockers and changing facilities.
The Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) has been awarded by developer CO—RE and asset manager Audley Property.
Global Asset Manager Blackstone has agreed a pre-let for the building to become its new European headquarters.
Enabling works have begun on site, with the project scheduled to complete in 2028.
Ged Simmonds, Managing Director of Offices for Mace Construct, said: “The outstanding quality and historic location will make this development one of the most premium offices in London. We are pleased to be playing a leading role in its renewal.”
