RED Construction’s trio of refurbishment and construction projects in and around London includes a new hub at LEGOLAND Windsor and redeveloping the Marriott County Hall Hotel
The trio of refurbishments and construction project wins across London and the South East have a combined value of nearly £22m and will be delivered by RED Construction’s Special Projects team.
The Marriott County Hall Hotel will have its gym and health spa redeveloped
RED Construction have been appointed to strip out existing gym and health spa facilities, and carry out structural alterations, to deliver 35 new guest rooms equipped with marble bathrooms, and a members’ gym on the fifth and sixth levels of the hotel.
All the work will be undertaken whilst the Marriott remains open to guests.
Works will also be underway at the former headquarters of London County Council in partnership with architects Hamilton and Studio Moren, due to conclude in early 2024.
A refurbishment development will bring 12 flats back after a fire
Landsec have chosen RED Construction to refurbish a development on St Mark’s Square of one and two-bedroom duplexes after a fire.
Working alongside Ryder Architecture, the team will redevelop apartments on levels 13 to 19 and conduct remedial works to the external cladding. This project is also due to complete in 2024.
Phase One of LEGOLAND Windsor’s Woodland Village will be delivered by RED
Merlin Entertainments has selected the team to carry out the creation of a large ‘Hub’ to provide a restaurant, stage, bar, various play areas, large WC facilities, and an industrial kitchen, worth £7m.
Opening in Spring 2024, the LEGOLAND Woodland Village will feature 150 accommodation lodges in its Phase One development and the 10-acre site is set to attract thousands of UK and international visitors to Windsor.
